It’s funny.

Sometimes, the hardest part of the process is simply getting started.

I have been a computer techie guy my whole life.

The guy people come to when they need to fix shit with their tech stuff.

And I would always do my best to fix it…

Even when I had no idea how to do so.

I’d take on the project.

Telling them I can do it.

And then I’d just figure out a way to do so.

And I did it.

For no other reason than because I said I could do it.

And I wanted to stick to my word.

AKA:

I wanted to be accountable.

To myself.

And more importantly, to someone else.

Now, why do I say “more importantly”?

Doesn’t it make sense that you’d be most accountable to yourself, over someone else?

Ultimately, self accountability is all we have.

Because nobody is coming to save you, especially as a man.

YOU are ultimately responsible for yourself and all things you experience in your life.

So then why do I say having accountability to someone else is more important than self accountability?

Because when you are accountable to someone else, your reputation is on the line.

When you’re accountable to someone else, you want to live up to their expectations of you.

When you’re accountable to someone else, it feels like life or death to come thru for them, because you want your name to mean something.

Now, shouldn’t those same things apply for being accountable to yourself?

Shouldn’t you feel like your reputation is on the line, and that you want to live up to your own expectations of yourself, and that you want your name to mean something to yourself?

Shouldn’t that be enough?

In theory, yes.

However, we, as humans, are very good at keeping secrets.

We are very good at hiding things – aspects of parts of ourselves that remain hidden…

Hidden for seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years…

Sometimes we can even hide stuff for a lifetime.

And that is exactly why it is of vital importance to have accountability to others, in addition to yourself…

Because of how good we are at keeping secrets and hiding things, we must to some degree make the things we want to accomplish public knowledge so that we experience a higher degree of accountability to complete them.

When we do this, we feel an almost supernatural tug that gives us the power to simply do the damn thing so that we advance and make progress and ultimately complete what we set out to do.

For others, and, for ourselves.

So why am I telling you this?

Because that is exactly what has happened with this blog – SethKaufmanCEO.com

Let me explain…

I had the idea for this brand name, SethKaufmanCEO, many years ago.

And what did I build on it?

Nothing.

Why?

Because of fear. Fear of failing. Fear of the blog not accumulating traffic and that my words would disappear into an ether of nothingness.

Because of perfectionism. Trying to be perfect. Expecting this blog to look perfect, and for my writing to captivate before I even wrote my first word.

Because of a lack of accounability. This blog, this brand, were kind of a little dirty secret of mine. For years. For no reason other than that I didn’t share what I didn’t yet do. SethKaufmanCEO was hypothetical.

So what changed?

Why am I starting now – years after sitting on this idea for my own personal brand?

Accountability.

I’ve started – and left incomplete – so many things in my life.

Leaving those things incomplete has left a feeling of dissatisfaction and shame inside of me, with myself.

And yet, nothing was done despite that.

Because as I said before, accountability to yourself < accountability to others.

So, again, what changed?

I chose to be accountable to someone else.

My girlfriend.

I chose to open up and shine a light into more of the stuff most of us keep hidden or secret, and illuminate it to her.

And when I told her about my blog, SethKaufmanCEO, she loved it, supported it, and simply had one expectation of me:

That I actually do it.

She would ask, and ask, how my website is coming, if I had the design framework down, so that she could assist me with the logo, color scheme, and typography (she’s does design work).

And each time, I’d have an excuse for why it wasn’t yet done – allthewhile eating away at me.

And upon waking today at 3:27 AM with the energy of an atomic bomb, I decided today is the day.

Right now is the time to get started.

No matter the quality of output at first.

No matter the fact that I have no logo, no design to speak of, nothing but a domain name and wordpress installed.

Right now is the best time to get started.

So here I am, getting started.

Something you will learn about me, and about yourself, is how important self accountability is.

And how it shapes your entire reality.

Something I was told over 10 years ago is:

“Life isn’t happening to you, Life is responding to you.”

And it’s as true now as it was then.

Every circumstance you experience in your life, is a result of your dominant thoughts – AKA, your mindset.

Most people hate that word – mindset.

It’s been weaponized, and watered down in such a way that it hardly means anything to most of you, and the thing you first want to shrug off and ignore when getting started learning a new skill.

You want to level up quickly, like you’re in a video game.

Yet, you don’t want to learn how to think like the kind of person that levels up quickly.

You want it to come easy.

And the irony, is that once you learn how to adopt the correct mindset, you can and do level up quickly.

The issue is, you’ve been thinking like the 99%

The 99% that are stuck in the mud

The 99% that rely on the correct actions of others to feel good about their life

The 99% that refuse to take responsibility for that which they experience in their life

And you need to start thinking like the 1%

The 1% that grow quickly because of their mindset

The 1% that understands and recognizes abundance

The 1% that knows you are the God of your reality

The 1% that takes matters into their own hands and consciously chooses a reality

Rather than waiting for one to simply be assigned to them.

Accountability.

While it may feel painful to be accountable, and to experience rapid growth as a result of that accountability, it is the only choice… because the alternative, is markedly more painful – an undesirable life of stagnation, subpar circumstances, and anguish/despair/jealousy/envy and negativity, as you watch others around you living a life they desire, while you simply sit on the sidelines wondering how they are doing it – attributing their success to luck because you refuse to do the one thing you MUST do in order to assure a life you feel content with:

Take accountability.

((This is my first letter to you. It should be noted, that, everything I write, every idea I have, and every word I share with you, is in some way, a letter to myself, either for the experience I am having right now, or one I’ve experienced already, and are all lessons and things I wish I was told, or things I was told that are serving as reminders to myself, so that I have the most efficient and productive track forward in my life at all times.

While I speak direct and often times abrasively, it is all from love, both towards you, and myself. Something I’ve learned is that nobody is more humble and nobody cares more about you, than someone who has been there, and understands what you’re going through.

The purpose of SethKaufmanCEO is to help you take accountability and to speak to those of you, who are just like me, and help you level up in your life.

And again, I say this humbly, knowing there are people far “ahead” of where I am. I am no prophet, guru, expert, etc… I am just someone who has learned my worth, and my power, that I am God of my reality, and I intend to teach you, through accountability, how you can do the same to help you progress through your life. And I will do so in the only way I know how – by sharing my own personal lessons from my own life with you.

There’s enough garbage online from other “creators” who are simply selling you on a theoretical reality they are living – none of it from experienced, having bult nothing.

I am different.

Because you will only ever get content from me that is something I have direct experience with in my own life. That is the only way, as far as I see it.))

Until next time…
